Electronic Irish Reports – Introduction

Electronic Irish Reports is an electronic version of The Irish Reports, published by The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for Ireland. The database covers over 80 years of Irish case reports and contains the full text data of published cases from 1838 to the present day. The database is updated every 3 months.

The Irish Reports is the most comprehensive series of case reports covering decisions of major importance of the superior courts of Ireland. The reports are compiled by practising barristers and are cited authoritatively in Irish courts and tribunals. Each report includes a headnote, which summarises the judgments.

Electronic Irish Reports is one of the databases in the Justis Electronic Irish Reports and Digests service, which also includes digests of case reports from The Irish Reports and 6 other publications.

The Electronic Irish Reports contains many references to The Law Reports published by The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England & Wales, all of which act as linkable cross-references for subscribers to The Law Reports.
