Police Law Reports – Introduction
The Police Law Reports database on the Justis website contains the full text of the printed publication Police Law Reports from 2000 to the present day. The database is updated whenever new reports are made available.
Police Law Reports is a printed series of case reports, published by Southside Legal Publishing Limited. It includes the full text of cases from the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords relating to police law, together with a summary and, where appropriate, a commentary. Cases from the European Court of Human Rights are also covered, amounting to approximately 50 cases per year, of which around 75% are not reported elsewhere.
The editor of the Reports, Jeremy Johnson, is a barrister at 5 Essex Court Chambers and practices almost exclusively in the areas of police law and Government litigation. His police work mainly includes private law actions against the police, employment, human rights, public law and policy advice.
