The Times Law Reports – Introduction

The Times Law Reports database is derived from the law reports that are printed in The Times newspaper, going back to January 1990. The database is updated 2–3 times per week on the Justis website.

The cases cover every branch of law and come from a wide range of jurisdictions, including the courts of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg and the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

The Law Reports from The Times are universally acknowledged for their quality and authority and are authenticated for use as precedents in court. The Editor, Iain Sutherland, and all of the reporters are fully qualified barristers. Over 800 cases a year are reported.
