Justis NewsSorting by precise date on Justis Parliament9th October 2009
It is now possible to sort by specific date – not just year – on Justis Parliament.
By popular demand, we have enabled this significant, time-saving improvement to the results page by re-indexing all 3,000,000 parliamentary records on the system. To the user, the results table and the data it contains will appear unchanged. But by clicking on the “Reference” column heading, results can now be sorted precisely in chronological or reverse chronological order. This will dramatically increase your likelihood of finding what you’re looking for. With law reports and legislation, sorting by year is usually adequate. But with a typical Justis Parliament subject term search such as swine flu, over 200 records are returned, all of them for 2009. This new date-sorting function helps you quickly locate the most up-to-date record or a record for a specific date. General guidance on using Justis Parliament on its new platform can be found on our Justis Parliament Quick Start Guide.
