Justis NewsExtra, extra! Extradition Law Reports now on Justis30th November 2009
The Extradition Law Reports are now available on Justis, the online legal library. A comprehensive collection of cases relating to all aspects of extradition law, largely unreported elsewhere, they are published in print by Southside Legal Publishing. Going back to 2005, they complement other specialist reports on Justis, such as the Inquest Law Reports, Mental Health Law Reports, Police Law Reports and the Prison Law Reports. The effect of the Extradition Act 2003 has been a significant growth in the number of extradition case argued in the High Court and the House of Lords / the new Supreme Court. The only place where this significant corpus of jurisprudence is collated is the Extradition Law Reports, edited by John Jones of the Doughty Street Chambers’ Extradition Law Team. A well-respected author on extradition and other matters, Jones’s has appeared on behalf of requested persons, foreign governments and judicial authorities in a large number of extradition proceedings. And, among others, he has represented governments and judicial authorities of the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States. Providing the full text of all relevant judgments, together with a headnote, the Extradition Law Reports is an essential publication for all those involved in the extradition process.
