Irish eyes to smile at BIALL

5th June 2008

It’s Dublin’s turn to host the forthcoming annual conference of the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians from 12th to 14th June, and Justis Publishing will be contributing to the craic.

This year’s theme, entitled “Beyond the Pale”, is “planning for the next information generation”. With new content and a host of technical improvements made since last year’s meeting in Sheffield, Justis, JustCite and J-Link tie in effortlessly with the theme. Our representatives will be on hand to demonstrate how on stand 42, near the main entrance in of the Serpentine Hall at the Royal Dublin Society venue in Ballsbridge.

Delegates are encouraged to drop by to see the highlights of the past 12 months’ work, including: the International Law Reports online on Justis; and the addition of Caselex to Justis EU.

Also in that time, the number of cases indexed and cross-referenced on JustCite has increased by 100,000 to over 430,000. Indexing 1.67 million documents overall, significant recent additions include 25,000 Australian cases, 2,000 from Singapore, numerous Irish law reports and journals, and a wealth of material from the Practical Law Company.

If all of that is too much to take in all at once, our attendance will also provide attendees with a chance simply to catch up with their favourite account manager, both on the stand and at the official conference dinners. And don’t forget that, as ever, we will hold a Barrister Bear prize draw.
