Justis featured on Singapore National News

1st August 2007

In November 2006, Justis Publishing signed an agreement with the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) to supply Justis technology and databases through SAL’s LawNet service.

Following the recent release of LawNet2 and the subsequent media coverage of the Legal Workbench, our innovative Justis API technology received a mention on Channelnews Asia in Singapore.

Singapore Chief Justis Chan Sek Keong had this to say: “…perhaps the most useful feature is instant accessibility to the entire collection of the official Law Reports published by the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales. The reports, dating back to 1865, are now available to Legal Workbench subscribers, through a commercial arrangement that SAL has reached with Justis Publishing Ltd, a UK company which has the right to distribute electronic versions of the ICLR’s reports.

Here, I would like to gratefully acknowledge the participation of Justis Publishing Ltd and CrimsonLogic Pte Ltd (the Academy’s IT partner for LawNet2) in bringing this project to its launch today.”

The LawNet2 service is used by more than 70% of practising lawyers in Singapore.

Justis and JustCite API tools allow you to build the power of Justis Publishing’s legal information research services into your own Internet and intranet systems.
