A comprehensive collection of cases relating to all aspects of prison law, largely unreported elsewhere
Prison law, though established as a distinct area of law, is a field which is still growing. This is partly because the statutory framework is skeletal and is copiously supplemented by policy and guidance documents, which are often subject to challenge by judicial review. There are many cases each year where points of law are argued in the High Court and above, but only a minority are reported.
The Prison Law Reports brings all cases relating to prison law together in one place and will be of interest to criminal lawyers.
Added Feature
Cases from the European Court of Human Rights are also covered, amounting to approximately 80 cases per year, of which around 75% are unreported elsewhere.
