Law librarian competition: winner announced

Posted by david-hand | 06 September 2018

For many years the Justis team have travelled around the world to law librarian events, where we have shared in many memorable moments.

To celebrate those great times, we asked you to share your favourite memories of Justis at events over the years. With a Barrister Bear at stake for the best photo we received some great entries.

Thank you to everyone who entered, and an additional thank you to Kristin Hodgins, Karen Lee, Jim Mumm and Kim Nayyer for allowing us to share your entries here.

As there could only be one winner, we are pleased to congratulate Maria Robertson of the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen. Your photo of Masoud, Aidan, Ron Wheeler and Andy Stamm was a wonderful representation of the welcoming reception that we have always received wherever we have travelled, and the friends we have made. Barrister Bear will be making his way to you soon!

My colleagues and I have enjoyed the company of our law librarian friends at various conferences around the world, and we think that this photo encapsulates the warm relationship we have established with our clients and other service providers over the years.

This photo was taken during our 30th anniversary year in 2016 at BIALL in Dublin. We had just released our new Justis Irish collection and had spent the previous months travelling non-stop. We met Ron Wheeler who attended BIALL in his capacity as the new President of AALL, and who has since helped us enormously with our understanding of the US market.

This photo not only symbolises the celebrations of a successful 30 years, but also represents the openness and the warm nature of the law librarian community. May there be many more memorable moments to come!

Masoud Gerami, Managing Director
