vLex acquires Justis, expanding its global legal intelligence platform by more than 20 countries

 

LONDON and BARCELONA, March 29, 2019 – vLex today announces the acquisition of Justis Publishing Ltd., a UK-based leader in online legal publishing with clients in over 40 countries including the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Justis, headquartered in London, will become part of vLex, and Masoud Gerami and his team will assume important roles in the global growth of the combined business.

This acquisition gives vLex more than a foothold in the dynamic U.K. legal marketplace. The combination of Justis’ comprehensive and high-quality case law collection and their common law specific dissemination technology with vLex’s AI-powered tools and services, such as Vincent and Iceberg AI, will introduce contextual research and access to global legal resources to the UK and other key markets covered by Justis. And the addition of Justis clients and relationships in North America bolsters vLex presence in important U.S. & Canadian markets where the Company currently has local teams, a growing customer base and a rapidly expanding presence as a leader in legal AI.
